Hay-fever

Hay-fever is your body’s response to an allergen, usually pollen, entering the respiratory tract and causing symptoms like :

  • sneezing,
  • runny nose,
  • blocked nose,
  • watery eyes,
  • itching of eyes, nose and throat,
  • cough.People often use anti-histamines ( which block the effects of histamine released by the body) to control the severity of these symptoms, with varying degrees of success.

Side effects can include: drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, headache. There can also be a risk when on certain other medications : antidepressants, indigestion medicine, cough/cold medicine, of stopping these medicines from working or increasing side effects.

Homeopathy is an effective natural alternative to conventional medicine. It’s safe to use for all ages and has no side effects. The homeopathic treatment will be matched to the way you experience hayfever ( not everyone has the same symptoms). The way it works is not to suppress the symptoms but rather to reduce your susceptibilty to it and boost your vitality. Hay fever can often be re-occuring through generations of family and is a deep seated condition. Homeopathic treatment can be really helpful in dealing with the acute symptoms , for rapid relef and longer term treatment can significantly reduce the susceptibility over time.
